Top-10 for Henry at Wayne County; Extends All Star Points Lead

Top-10 for Henry at Wayne County; Extends All Star Points Lead

FREMONT, Ohio (August 14, 2025) - Kalib Henry doesn't mince any words when it comes to how he feels about Wayne County. It's a track that the Sacramento, California native has struggled to get comfortable at. Tuesday night's All Star Circuit of Champions event may have been what the 25-year-old needed when we scored his first career top-10 finish at paperclip shaped speedway.

Henry piloted his Jim Muth owned, Valvoline, Triple J Towing, Harris Distributing, C&H Veteran Enterprises, Birchcard Financial, Bulterbuilt Seats, West River Trailer Sales and Service, No. 101 sprint car to a ninth place finish. Henry started the feature from 12th.

Notably, Henry was involved in what would be a strong contender for "Heat Race of the Year" across the country. After starting sixth and taking advantage of a chaotic start, Henry found himself in the lead after the first series of corners. For the next six laps Henry, Bryce Lucius, and Cale Thomas would account for a total of 15 passes for the lead before the race came to a stop for a crash involving Leyton Wagner. On the restart, Thomas would be able to get by Henry and pull away for the win with Henry finishing second.

"Just not comfortable," Henry mentioned at the conclusion of the night. "It's just one of those tracks that I struggle at but I think we took a step in the right direction tonight. We caught a break there with Zane having some problems in the feature. Not often can you extend a points lead with a ninth place finish."

Entering the night with an 18 point lead over Zane DeVault, Henry was able to extend his lead to 29 after DeVault ran into problems while running second just past the halfway point in the race.

With 11 races left on the All Star schedule, Kalib and team will head to Bloomington and Paragon with the series on August 15th and 16th. When asked about going to Bloomington for the first time, Henry had to say, "I'm excited, extremely excited honestly. It's small and tight like some of the tracks we have back home in California. Should have a lot of fun there this weekend."
