Pair of Podiums in Indiana Effort; 305 Fair Race Next

FREMONT, Ohio (August 17, 2025) - California's Kalib Henry knew going into a weekend of racing in the Hoosier State, his odds of success were high. The driver of the Running Boxers Farm, Valvoline, C&H Veteran Enterprises, West River Trailer Sales and Service, Butlerbuilt Seats, Birchard Financial, Triple J Towing, No. 101 410, Henry was as close to home as you can get east of the Mississippi.

"The tracks here are similar to what we have back in California," Henry mentioned several times leading into the weekend. "To come out and put together two podium finishes feels good. Obviously would have liked to be a couple positions better on both nights but the team is leaving the weekend with a lot of momentum coming into the final stretch of the season."

Friday night at Bloomington, Henry qualified fourth quick before going third to first in the first heat race. The dash presented a slight struggle as the No. 101 fell one position from fifth to sixth. When the green flag dropped it was Henry's patience that allowed for the 25-year-old to slowly work his way to the front on a narrow surface. As the laps winded down, Henry would find himself in second and charging for the lead before lap traffic would force Henry to whoa up, allowing eventual winner Tim Shaffer to pull away en route to the victory.

Overnight the team worked fiercely to prepare for the second night of the Indiana swing after noticing some potential mechanical issues in Friday's feature. Despite this, Henry and team unloaded Saturday night at Paragon and were fast out of the box. Once again qualifying in the fourth position. A second place finish in the heat race would schedule Henry for a third place starting spot in the dash, where he would also finish the six lap affair. On the initial start of the feature, a bobble going into turn one would cost Henry several spots, falling into the sixth position. From there, Henry slowly worked his way back through the field.

"Couldn't really get going on the restarts," Henry mentioned during his post race interview citing a series of back-to-back cautions. "I was really loving those long runs." The noted long runs would allow Henry to work his way to second, before a caution with two laps to go would force an open red for fuel. On the final restart, third place running Cale Thomas would find a way around Henry for the second spot. At the conclusion of the 35 lap feature, Henry would take home third with Thomas second and Parker Price-Miller in first.

With nine races remaining, Henry has extended his points lead to 61 over Devon Borden. In owner points, just 26 points separates the current leader of the Racers for Life No. 101 and the second place Rudzik Racing No. 49.

The Fremont Speedway Fair Race is now on the schedule for Henry. "I've never raced a 305, so I don't know what to expect but I know it will be fun," said Henry. The team will then head north to Michigan on Friday before returning back to Ohio on Saturday during All Star competition.
