Kalib Henry Joins Forces with Rod Tiner for Trophy Cup Effort

SACRAMENTO, California (October 13, 2025) - A lifelong dream will come true for Sacramento's Kalib Henry this weekend at Thunderbowl Raceway's annual Trophy Cup event when the 26-year-old racer will climb behind the wheel of Rod Tiner's No. 83SA machine for the three-day affair just west of the Sequoia National Park region.

Henry's history with the Tiner owned machine goes back more than several decades. Kalib's father, Mike, purchased his first ever sprint car from Tiner. For Kalib, he returns to an owner who offered him the opportunity to turn his first ever laps in a sprint car.

"His car was the first sprint car I ever got to turn laps in when I was 13," Henry said. "I have always wanted to race for him and his team. My dad got his first ever sprint car from him which is really cool too. Rod and his team are some of the bests in the business and to have the opportunity to get behind the wheel for him at such a historic and big event is a dream opportunity."

The pairing brings together two of the west coast's most recognizable names. Henry, fresh off his All Star championship, and Tiner, an accomplished car owner with a plethora of accolades.

The action kicks off Thursday night and will be streamed live on FloRacing.
