Henry Finds Victory in Final Midwestern Start of 2025; California Dates To Be Announced
FREMONT, Ohio (September 22, 2025) - 'Ohio is for Lovers', or at least that is what Dayton, Ohio based, Hawthorne Heights, said in their hit song of the same name. 25-year-old Sacramento, California native Kalib Henry, might just agree with that sentiment, as the rising talent captured his fifth win of the 2025 season at Fremont Speedway this past Saturday. The win puts an end to Henry's stay in the buckeye state for 2025.
Henry, who was slated to compete at Eldora Speedway for the 4-Crown Nationals, made a change of schedule after some mechanical woes came to light following Wednesday night's High Limit Racing event at Lawrenceburg Speedway. Instead, the driver of the No. 101 Running Boxers Farm, Triple J Towing, Valvoline, C&H Veteran Enterprises, Birchard Financial, Butlerbuilt Professional Seat Systems 410 sprint car elected to stay "home" and compete in Fremont's season finale.
"We planned to run Eldora but we found some stuff with the engine Thursday morning and decided we would run Fremont instead," mentioned Henry. That decision would payoff. Henry would charge early from his sixth place starting spot to capture the victory over 2025 Fremont Speedway track champion, Cap Henry, and Kody Brewer.
"I knew I had to get out front and run clean fast laps." Henry looked back at the start of the 2025 season, which saw him win the All Star Circuit of Champions season opener at Fremont, "Really happy to start the year with a win here and end with a win here."
Henry will return to California for the remainder of the year, hitting select races on the west coast. Those events and dates will be announced in the near future.
