Henry Builds Momentum as All Star Championship Starts to Conclude

FREMONT, Ohio (September 14, 2026) - When Sacramento, California's Kalib Henry announced his plans to defend his 2025 All Star Circuit of Champions Driver's Championship, the 26-year-old pedal smasher of the Racers for Life No. 101 knew there was still more to accomplish. With just four races left in the All Star season, Henry has put himself and the Racers for Life team in a prime spot to do just that. Henry currently sits atop the standings with a 34 point lead over Cale Thomas, while the Racers for Life team has a 41 point lead over Rudzik Racing.

Henry, who pilots the Valvoline, Triple J Towing, Butlerbuilt Seats, Birchard Financial, Running Boxers Farm, Pub 400 machine, went from the ecstasy of his first Kings Royal start to a string of missed opportunities and frustration. A spin while running down the leader on July 25th at Fremont Speedway relegated Henry to a fifth place finish. A week later, Henry was in full control at Attica Raceway Park before taking a series of acrobatic tumbles off the top of turn one. On August 8th at Fremont, a mid-race meeting with an infield tractor tire sent the 101 to the pits and a 22nd place finish. Then came the Knoxville Nationals break and mental reset.

Following the Nationals, Henry hasn't finished outside the top ten. August 22nd saw a trip to Butler Speedway, marking the first time Henry has visited the high-banked Michigan track. After starting 11th in the A-Main, Henry charged to a fourth place finish behind Thomas, Zane DeVault, and Zeth Sabo. The following week offered the first nightly back-to-back All Star races since Ohio Speedweek in June. Friday saw a return to Freedom Motorsports Park in New York where Henry repeated his 2025 results by capturing his second All Star win on the year and his fourth overall.

"I needed this. I have made a ton of mistakes [in the] last month and stepped on it a handful of times, and cost my guys wins that I felt like we should've had." Henry said in victory lane.

Sharon Speedway was the host of Saturday's action. After an 11th place finish at the eastern Ohio track during Ohio Speedweek, Henry and crew chief Andy Potter were confident they could crack the top-ten. The team broke through that ceiling on their way to a fifth place finish in a race that saw Henry begin to reel in race leader Jeremy Weaver before fading after the halfway point. The most recent All Star event took place at Wayne County Speedway on Sunday of Labor Day weekend. Henry piloted the No. 101 to a seventh place finish from the ninth place starting spot.

Prior to Saturday night's Attica Fremont Championship Series finale at Fremont Speedway, Henry had a chance to claim his second Fremont track championship. Entering the night just six points behind leader Cap Henry, things went awry in qualifying when a clump of mud lodged itself in the engine compartment going into turn one on the first lap and disconnected a spark plug wire that forced Kalib to finish his qualifying effort on just seven cylinders. Henry was able to go from sixth to fourth in his heat race to secure the 13th starting spot in the A-Main. Now down by 17 points, Henry advanced six spots to finish seventh while Cap brought home a runner up finish, officially claiming the championship.

"That sucks," a dejected Henry said at the end of the night, "but we still have more racing to do and another championship to chase." The road to the 2026 All Star championship will make a stop at Fremont Speedway this weekend for two nights of racing during the annual Jim Ford Classic. The season will conclude the first weekend in October with a stop at Mercer Raceway before concluding on Saturday, October 3rd, at Stateline Speedway.

For Henry, a ninth place or better finish at each of the remaining events will secure the driver's title. For the Racers for Life team, an 11th place or better finish at each remaining event will secure the owner's championship, the team's first.
